MotoStudent VI Competition, T2

2020-22

MotoStudent is an 18-month international motorcycle design competition for university teams, culminating in a race held in Aragón, Spain.

The competition provided an opportunity for students to design, build, and test cutting-edge motorcycles. It brought together innovative teams from around the world to showcase their engineering skills and creativity.

Specs

The electric propulsion entry featured a ME1507 PMAC motor capable of delivering a peak torque of 120 Nm, continuous torque of 34 Nm, and operating at a maximum voltage of 96V. At 5000 rpm, the motor produced an impressive 85 horsepower.

The battery pack consisted of 400 18650 cells configured in a 20s20p arrangement, resulting in a peak voltage of 84V. Unfortunately, due to the team’s temporary disbandment during the COVID-19 pandemic, the motorcycle was never completed. However, it was predicted to achieve an impressive 0-60 mph time of just 3.2 seconds.
